Jose Socorro Robledo

Jose Socorro Robledo, 84, went to be with The Lord on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 in McAllen, Texas. Jose was born on April 30, 1933 in McAllen, Texas to the late Tiburcio and Margarita Robledo. He is preceded in death by his two sons: David Robledo and Roberto Robledo and his grandson: Ruben Zavala, Jr.

Jose is survived by his loving wife: Irene Eureste Robledo; children: Joe Robledo, Jr., Esther Robledo (Robertoa€ ) Gonzalez, Ernestina (Ruben) Zavala, Delia (Sam) Silva and Diana (Esteban) Salazar; as well as 15 Grandchildren and 14 Great-grandchildren.

Jose was a very good accordion player and known as "Don Jose", affectionately, by his musician friends. He was a humble and compassionate man who will be remembered for his love of God and his family.

We, the Robledo Family, would like to give our most heartfelt thanks to friends and family for their kindness and generosity shown to our family during this difficult time. A special thanks to The Comfort House and the Prayer Group of our Lady of Sorrows Church in McAllen.

Visitation will be held Thursday, February 15, 2018 from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a rosary at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home in McAllen. Cremation will follow. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. www.riverafuneralhomes.net
