Mr. Leonardo Vega,80, passed away on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at his home in Mission surrounded by his family. Leonardo was born on February 16, 1938 in Tampico, Tamp. Mexico to Adalberto Vega Alcoser and Rafaela Rodriguez Martinez. Leonarod worked for Pemex for many years. He lived in Mission for most of his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Leonardo is survived by his wife; Florinda Gonzalez Vega, Leonardo's daughters-Margarita De Jesus Vega Gonzalez, Gabriela Vega Gonzalez (Amdres Hernandez), Adriana Vega Gonzalez (Juan Alberto Reyes), Alejandra Vega Gonzalez; one sister Francisca Vega Rodriguez; grandchildren- Sofia Reyes, Andres Hernandez, Emilia Hernandez, Sergio Salas, and Gabriela Reyes.
Visitation will take place on Monday, May21, 2018 at Rivera Funeral Home,1901 Pecan Blvd. in McAllen from 1-9 PM with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home chapel. Cremation will follow at a later time.
