Maria Cedillo Obituary
Mission - Maria del Socorro Cedillo, 96, passed away on Friday, September 7, 2018 at her home in Mission. Socorro was born May 13, 1922 in Doctor Arroyo, Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Adelaido and Juliana (Arzola) Gloria. She is preceded in death by her parents: her husband Dario Cedillo on December 29, 2000 and a son Trinidad Cedillo on April 8, 2014.
She is survived by her two sons: Dario (Marina) Cedillo of Edinburg and Rolando (Norma) Cedillo of McAllen; three daughters: Dora (Angel) Martinez of McAllen, Maria Angelica (Jose Saul) Gutierrez of Mission and Julia (Julian) Cortez of McAllen; 35 grandchildren, 82 great-grandchildren and 29 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Monday, September 10, 2018 with a prayer service being officiated by Pastor Obed Jimenez at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. Funeral Service will be officiated by Pastor Jose Luis Salazar at 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission.
Serving as pallbearers will be Julian Martinez, Carlos Plata, Trinidad Cedillo, Roberto Cedillo, Ricardo Lara and Rolando Cedillo.
