Rita Santos Obituary
McAllen - Rita H. Santos passed away peacefully May 15, 2017, one day after her 92nd birthday.
She was born in Christine, Texas, grew up in Laredo and lived at her North 21st family home in McAllen for over half a century. She loved keeping her yard beautiful, walking in her neighborhood and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband: S.E. Santos.
Rita is survived by her three sons: Jimmy (Thelma) of McAllen, Dr. Richard Santos (Pat) of Albuquerque, NM, and Roberto (Elena) of Columbus, Ohio. Rita was blessed in her lifetime to see her seven grandchildren become adults and to enjoy her great grandchildren.
A special thank you to her caregiver Berta and all the doctors and nurses who cared for her during her lengthy illness.
A Memorial gathering and visitation honoring Rita will take place May 23, 2017 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home. A private family service and burial will take place at a later date. Services have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. www.riverafuneralhomes.net
