Rosie Banda Obituary
Rosie E. Banda,70, entered eternal rest on Monday, July 9, 2018 at her McAllen residence. Rosie was born on October 17, 1947 in McAllen, Texas to Jose and Rebecca (Cruz) Escamilla. Rosie lived in McAllen all of her life. Rosie attended McAllen schools graduating from McAllen High School. Rosie attended and graduated in 1970 from Pan American University, now known as UTRGV where she obtained a BS in Health and Physical Education. She was a member of TSTA/NEA organization.
Rosie was employed with the Edinburg Consolidated school district for more than 40 years working at Freddy Gonzales Elementary school. Rosie was a devoted wife,mother,daughter ,sister, and friend who gave to many charities and was loved by students,past and present. Rosie truly lived life to its fullest.
Rosie was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter-Cecilia Bernadette Banda.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband Mr. Joe Israel Banda, her son Joe Banda Jr., her step daughter Linda Banda Duty, Siblings Jovita Luna, Jose G. Escamilla, Alan Escamilla, Daniel Escamilla, numerous of nieces and nephews .
A memorial service in honor of Rosie Banda will be held at a later date and time.
