Mr. Adan Eli Maldonado,59, entered eternal sleep Thursday, May 21, 2020 at the McAllen Medical Center Hospital in McAllen. Adan was born October 6, 1960 in McAllen, Texas to Adan Maldonado and Maria Inez (Trevino) Maldonado. Adan was raised in McAllen, attended McAllen schools having graduated from McHigh 1979. Adan worked for Home Depot of Weslaco for more than 12 years. He enjoyed working there because he felt part of the BIG family of Home Depot. Adan always had a smile on his face, always joking around. He loved and enjoyed spending time with family especially his two grandchildren.He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, and friend. He truly lived life to its fullest. Adan Eli Maldonado will be dearly missed by his family and those that came to know him.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife Elda Maldonado; His children- Adan Eli Maldonado Jr (Sandra), Johnny Edward Willias III, Dominic Dimas James and(Cynthia Garza); His siblings- Norma Maldonado, Xavier Maldonado, Anna Herr; His beloved mother- Maria Inez (Trevino) Maldonado; His loving grandchildren- Karyssa, Ethan, Syndi, Aiden, Garcia, Danika Olivia James, Darien Kingston James.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and keeping with social distancing orders, all necessary restrictions will be observed in order to protect the health and safety of those in attendance. Wear face coverings while inside building. Continue to practice social distancing while inside the funeral home chapel.
A gathering of family and friends will take place Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at Rivera Funeral Home,1901 Pecan Blvd. from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM with the recital of the Holy Rosary to begin at 7:00 PM. A celebration of life service will be Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at 10:00 am at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow to Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Mission.
