Mr. Adan Rangel,71, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, August 17, 2019 surrounded by his family at the Briarcliff Nursing and Rehab Center in McAllen. Adan was born on July 16, 1948 in McAllen to Wenceslado and Ester (Ibarra) Rangel. He had lived in McAllen for most of his life. Adan enjoyed watching football when the Dallas Cowboys played. He enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves baseball team. Adan also enjoyed watching WWE, where his favorite wrestler was Ric Flair. Adan truly lived life to its fullest. He will forever be in the hearts of his family and friends.
Adan was preceded in death by his parents; His wife- Maria Luisa Rangel; Five siblings
Left to cherish Adan's memory are his children; Ester Rangel, Samuel Rangel, Adan Rangel Jr., Stella Villarreal, Zandra Rangel; Siblings- Eva Torres, Wenceslado Rangel Jr., Jesus Rangel, Esther Sanchez, Noe Rangel; Grandchildren- Jesus Ramirez Jr., Adrian Ramirez, Fabian Ramirez, Ignacio Ramirez, Emily Rangel, Steven Olivares, and Andrew Olivares.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at Rivera Funeral Home,1901 Pecan Blvd. in McAllen from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM with the recital of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at 10:00 AM at St.Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in McAllen with interment to follow at Rose-lawn cemetery in McAllen.
