Adan de la Cruz, Sr.

McAllen ~ Adan de la Cruz, Sr., 88, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, October 9, 2025 at South Texas Health System McAllen. He was born on Friday, April. 23, 1937 in McAllen, Texas, the son of Ricardo And Soledad (Rivera) de la Cruz. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife: Maria Alicia López; daughter: Martha Monica de la Cruz; and grandson: Adan de la Cruz, III.

He is survived by his children: Adan de la Cruz, Jr. (Maria de Lourdes Garcia de la Cruz) and Ismael Rene de la Cruz (Gina Mae Nava de la Cruz); 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 12 pm to 9 pm Sunday, October 12, 2025 with the Holy Rosary being recited at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home, 1901 Pecan Blvd., McAllen. Viewing will continue from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm Monday, October 13, 2025 at Rivera Funeral Home, McAllen. Celebration of Life Mass will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, October 13, 2025 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 2209 Kendlewood Ave., McAllen with Military Honors to follow mass.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen.
