McAllen ~ Ana Maria Valbuena, completed her earthly journey on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at her residence in McAllen, Texas. Born in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico, on Wednesday, December 10, 1958, she brought light and joy into the world, a light that continued to shine brightly throughout her 66 years. Ana was the beloved daughter of Rogelio Salinas and Ana Guadalupe Franco, both of whom preceded her in death.
Her life was a testament to love, and she shared an incredible journey with her devoted husband, Fernando Valbuena Treviño. Together, they created a legacy of love and family, raising three wonderful children: Mayra Aguirre, Fernando Valbuena, Jr., and Analee Valbuena. Ana Maria's love further extended to her cherished grandchildren: Destiny Aguirre, Damien Elizondo, Denice Yared Aguirre, Brianna Lee Perez, Anthony Aguirre, Jr., Jazlynn Lee Perez, Cataleya Valbuena, Fernando Valbuena, III, and Alessandro Valbuena. She is also survived by her siblings: Rogelio A. Salinas, Silvia D. Machado, Hector J. Salinas, Lubella Salinas, Jorge L. Salinas, Julio C. Salinas, and Claudia A. Salinas.
A Gathering and Visitation for Ana will be held from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm Monday, November 17, 2025 with a Prayer Service at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home, 1901 Pecan, Blvd., McAllen. Her life will be honored in a service at 10:00 am Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. She will be laid to rest at 11:00 am following the service at Valley Memorial Gardens, 3605 N. Taylor Rd., Mission.
