Mr. Andres Lopez, 52, entered eternal rest Friday, April 23, 2021 surrounded by his family at his home in Edinburg. Andy, as he was lovingly known was born June 9, 1968 in Edinburg, Texas to Noe and Guadalupe(Perez) Lopez. Andy, born and raised in Edinburg, attended Edinburg schools having graduated from EHS class of 1987. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, camping at South Padre Island, visiting flea markets, music, concerts, dancing, taking trips, and family gatherings. Andy truly lived life to its fullest. Andy will forever be loved and remembered by his family and friends.

Andy was preceded in death by his father Noe Lopez; His brother Noe Lopez Jr.

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved family; His wife- Julia Perez; His children- Robyn Lynn Lopez, Beanca Leeann Lopez, Markie Marie Leal; His mother Mrs. Guadalupe P. Lopez; His siblings- Abel Lopez, Nick Lopez, Leo Lopez, Noelia Cheatham, Sonia Lopez; His grandchildren- Eduardo, Enrique, Leia, Justin, and Orian; Extended nieces and nephews.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and keeping with social distancing orders, all necessary restrictions will be observed in order to protect the health and safety of those in attendance. Wear face coverings while inside building. Continue to practice social distancing while inside the funeral home chapel. We continue to ask that those at risk or those not feeling well stay home and reach out to the family through our obituary page.

A gathering of family and friends will be Wednesday, April 28, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Rivera Funeral Home,1901 Pecan Blvd in McAllen with the recital of the Holy Rosary to begin at 6:00 PM. Mass of Christian burial will be Thursday, April 29, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park cemetery.
