Angelina Hernandez

On Friday March 6, 2020 Angelina Hernandez entered eternal rest surrounded by her loving family at the comfort house of McAllen. She joined her beloved husband,Joaquin Hernandez, whom were married for 78 years. Angelina was born August 14, 1923 in Waco, Texas to Pablo and Catalina (Martinez) Amaro. Angelina was a resident of McAllen for 64 years. She enjoyed family gatherings, always happy to see her eleven children, many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Angelina loved playing word search and loved playing BINGO. Oh how she loved playing Bingo, and feeding her cats.  Angelina truly lived life to its fullest.

Angelina was preceded in death by her beloved husband-Mr. Joaquin Hernandez in 2018 and her four Siblings.

Left to cherish her memory are her eleven children; Raul, Evangelina, San Juana, Magdalena, Maria De Jesus, Jose Sergio, Norma Elia, Sylvia, Joaquin Jr.,Jaime, Javier; 31 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren, 28 great great grandchildren.

On behalf of the family we would like to thank the Comfort Home, Mr David A Perez (Executive Director) and staff , also Allstate Hospice for all the attention, care, and love given to our mom, Especially Almita Hernandez.

A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at Rivera Funeral Home,1901 Pecan from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a talk at 7:00 pm. A final gathering will be Wednesday at 8:30 am at the funeral home. Graveside service will be at 10:00 am at Roselawn Cemetery of McAllen.

To Mom and Dad, you will forever be in our hearts. Will see you again in Paradise. Love always, all your children.
