Antonia G. Garza

McAllen ~ Antonia G. Garza, 99, entered peacefully into eternal rest on Sunday, August 11, at her residence in McAllen, Texas. She was born on Saturday, April 25, 1925 in Laredo, Texas, the daughter of Saturnino Gonzalez and Gertrudis Gaytan. She lived a full life and was mother to five children, David Vallejo, Silvia Zavala, Guadalupe Miranda, Lucia Aidé Guerra, and Victor Garza. She is preceded in death by her parents; children: David Vallejo, Lucia Aidé Guerra, Victor Hugo Garza and brother Pedro Garcia.

She is survived by her two daughters Silvia and Guadalupe, ten grandchildren—Eduardo Pena, Gilberto Zavala, Sylvia Elisa Vallejo, Veronica Vallejo, Naida Vallejo, Alvaro Miranda, Alfredo Miranda, Carlos Guerra, Merardo Guerra, and—twenty-five great grandchildren Kimberly Garza, Victor Garza, Alexa Garza, Roland Pena, Merardo Pena, Alvaro Miranda Jr., Giselle Miranda, Jasmine Miranda, Yesenia Miranda, Kayle Miranda, Freddy Miranda, Iliana Vallejo, David Vallejo, Adhair Vallejo, Leslie Vallejo, Misael Guerrero, Brandon Guerrero, David Rivera, Aaron Vellejo, Ximena Galicia, Jesus Galicia, David Galicia, Alegra Galicia, and Jordan Zavala with more great grandchildren on the way.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm Thursday, August 15, 2024 at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen.
