Antonia Peralez

McAllen ~ Antonia Peralez, 79, went home with the Lord on September 6, 2020. Antonia was born on January 28, 1941, in McAllen, Texas, the daughter of Manuel and Manuela (Ramirez) Garcia. She lived in McAllen most of life. Antonia worked as a Headstart Teacher for many years. She enjoyed family gatherings, listening to music and eating out with family at different restaurants. She loved going to church and especially watching her "Novelas".

She was preceded in death by her husband, Juan Peralez; children, Rogelio Peralez, Juan Manuel Peralez, and Rosa Maria Peralez; two brothers, Jesus Garcia, and Jose Guadalupe Garcia.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Juan Peralez Jr., Arnold Peralez, Richard Peralez, Priscilla Peralez, and Rene Peralez; her siblings: Rafaela Garza, Gilbert Garcia, Gloria Borrego, and Juan Garcia; and her 20 beautiful grandchildren. 

Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm Thursday, September 10, 2020 with the recital of the Holy Rosary at 7:30 pm at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. Funeral mass will be at 2:00 pm on Friday, September 11, 2020 a San Juan Diego Catholic Church in McAllen. Interment will follow at 3:00 pm at La Piedad Cemetery in McAllen. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen.
