Antonio Alvarez Obituary

Mr. Antonio Alvarez entered eternal sleep Friday, June 26,2020 at McAllen Medical Center at the age of 85 years. Antonio was born September 2,1934 in Mexico to Daniel and Ponciana Alvarez. He was a long time resident of McAllen. Antonio is and shall always be a Devout, Upright, and Intelligent man; the strongest and most honest person. He was a hard worker with the greatest of luck, a man endlessly proud of his family. For me, he was like the wind—he went wherever he wanted. He had many occupations. Like he always said, “No tengo tiempo ni de rascarme.” That was his favorite saying. He was passionate about his plants, his garden, and—above all else—the slot machines. It’s what made him happy: his adventures at the casinos… Antonio Alvarez truly lived life to its fullest. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son Jorge A. Ornelas.

He is survived by his wife: Bertha R Alvarez; his children: Alma Rosa Alvarez, Dora Elia Alvarez, Maria G Bhatt, Antonio B.
