Beatriz Castro Garcia

McAllen – Beatriz Castro Garcia entered the eternal gates of heaven at 82 on December 2nd, 2022, in McAllen, Texas. She was born on November 10th, 1940, in McAllen, Texas, to her parents, Leopoldo Alejandro Castro and Consuelo Perez Castro. She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Gilberto Garcia Sr., of McAllen, Texas and siblings, Alicia Munoz, Rafael Castro, Abigail Estrada, Oscar Castro, Guillermo Castro, and Leopoldo Castro

Beatriz was the Castro family matriarch and held all of our hearts. She was known for her fierce attitude and kind, loving heart. She always had a smile and never hesitated to put one on whoever she met. She was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, aunt, and grandmother and will live within us forever.

She is survived by her brother Rogelio Castro, brother/son Andy (Belinda) Castro, daughter Gina (Manuel) Flores, son Gilberto (Maria) Garcia, son Javier (Gloria†) Garcia, son Leo (Annett G. Rios) Garcia, daughter/granddaughter Adriana A. Garcia; fourteen grandchildren, Amanda Nadine Flores, Alana Nicole Flores, Manuel Romeo Flores III, Gilberto Garcia III,  Chloe Marie Garcia, Francisco Javier Garcia, Analisa Garcia, Alejandro Javier Garcia, Cecilia Bee Garcia, Mia Consuelo Garcia, Lea Jade Garcia, Tanya Marie Castro, Andrea Virginia Castro (Alexis Alba); two great grand-children, Adilyn Grace Vela, Leo Jovan Trevino; and numerous nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 9:00 am Saturday, December 10, 2022 at El Buen Pastor Lutheran Church, 1929 Pecan Blvd., McAllen, Texas. Inurnment will follow to Roselawn Cemetery, 1201 S. Main St., McAllen, Texas. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen.
