Benjamin Eduardo Macias, age 43, entered into the Kingdom of our Lord on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at DHR Hospital, Edinburg, Texas. Ben was born in San Antonio, Texas on June 24, 1977 to parents Nasario and Belinda Macias. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father and friend to many. He is survived by his wife Marissa Macias and their children Emma (8), Benicio (6) and Mylo (2). He is also survived by his parents and younger brothers, Bernie Macias (Maritza), Nick Macias (Yazmin) and their families as well as many extended family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents. Ben graduated from James Nikki Rowe High School in 1995. He was a 4-year letterman in football, member of the National Honor Society, Top 25 Honor students and graduated Magna Cum Laude. Ben graduated from Texas A&M University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, where he was a member of the Society of Mexican American Engineers and Scientists (MAES). Nineteen years ago, while interning as a young professional, he began his journey at Halff Associates Inc. as a civil engineer.

Visitation will be held at Rivera Funeral Home, 1901 Pecan Blvd, McAllen, Texas on Sunday, April 18, 2021 from 4:00 pm – 9:00 pm with Rosary at 6:30 pm. The rosary service will be live-streamed on Facebook by Rivera Funeral Home. The funeral Mass will be held on Monday, April 19, 2021 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 1108 W. Hackberry Ave, McAllen, Texas at 10:00 am
