Blanca E. Cantu, a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2023, in McAllen, Texas. Born on December 28, 1950, in China, Nuevo Leon, Blanca lived a life full of love, laughter, and generosity.

Blanca is survived by her husband, Oscar Cantu, and their four children, Oscar Luis Cantu, Blanca Yadira Cantu, Carlos Alberto Cantu, and Edgar Daniel Cantu. She was a proud grandmother and cherished spending time with her grandchildren, who brought immense joy into her life. Her siblings, nieces, nephews, and extended family will remember Blanca as a generous and caring woman who always put others before herself.

Blanca's love for her family was evident in every aspect of her life. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who always put her family first. A gathering of family and friends will be Sunday, May 14, 2023 from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home, 1901 Pecan Blvd. in McAllen. A prayer talk will be given at 5:00 pm  Funeral and burial services will be Monday, May 15, 2023 at 11:00 am at the Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery in McAllen.

Blanca E. Cantú, una madre, abuela, hermana y amiga amorosa y devota, falleció pacíficamente el 11 de mayo de 2023 en McAllen, Texas. Nacida el 28 de diciembre de 1950 en China, Nuevo León, Blanca vivió una vida llena de amor, risas y generosidad.

A Blanca le sobreviven su esposo, Oscar Cantú, y sus cuatro hijos, Oscar Luis Cantú, Blanca Yadira Cantú, Carlos Alberto Cantú y Edgar Daniel Cantú. Era una abuela orgullosa y disfrutaba pasar tiempo con sus nietos, quienes le dieron una inmensa alegría a su vida. Sus hermanos, sobrinas, sobrinos y familia extendida recordarán a Blanca como una mujer generosa y cariñosa que siempre puso a los demás antes que a sí misma.

El amor de Blanca por su familia fue evidente en todos los aspectos de su vida. Fue una devote esposa, madre y abuela que siempre puso a su familia en primer lugar. Sus hijos la recuerdan como una madre amorosa y solidaria que los animó a perseguir sus sueños y pasiones. Ella fue una fuente constante de aliento, amor y risas para su familia y amigos.

Blanca fue miembro activo de su congregación, donde formó amistades para toda la vida y encontró consuelo en su fe. Su naturaleza amable y cariñosa la convirtió en la favorita de sus amigos felinos, quienes sin duda extrañarán su calidez y cariño.

Quienes conocieron a Blanca la recordarán como una mujer divertida, generosa y amorosa que traía alegría y risas a todos los que conocía. Su sentido del humor y su risa contagiosa fueron fuente de consuelo y felicidad para su familia y amigos, quienes la extrañarán profundamente.

El fallecimiento de Blanca deja un vacío en el corazón de todos los que la conocieron y amaron. Su recuerdo perdurará en la vida de su familia, amigos y todos aquellos tocados por su amabilidad y amor.
