Blanca Alicia Chapa,88, entered into eternal rest Friday November 15, 2019 surrounded by her family at the McAllen Heart Hospital of McAllen. Blanca was born March 21, 1931 in Elsa, Texas to Arturo and Maria (Martinez) Mireles. Blanca was a long time resident of McAllen, She loved listening to all kinds of music. She enjoyed family gatherings. Everyday, Blanca started her day with a good cup of coffee. She truly enjoyed life to its fullest.

Blanca was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; Daniel Humberto Chapa; her daughter Blanca Victoria Chapa; one grandchild Juan Carlos Chapa Jr.and three siblings.

Left to cherish her memory are her children; Leon Chapa (+Blanca Rivera), Daniel Chapa (Karla), Jesus Antonio Chapa (Lourdes), Lupita Cavazos (Mario), Juan Chapa (Josie), Miguel Chapa (Zoraida), Sonia Chapa, Blanca Adriana Chapa (Charlie); 27 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. 

A gathering of family and friends will be Monday November 18, 2019 from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Rivera Funeral Home in McAllen. The recital of the Holy Rosary will begin at 7:00 PM. Celebration of Life service will be Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow to Roselawn Memorial Cemetery in McAllen.
