Claudia Ortega

McAllen ~ Claudia Ortega Santana de Ramos, 83, entered eternal rest on Monday, August 30, 2021 at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen. She was born on June 25, 1938 in Mexico, the daughter of Romulo Ortega and Nicolasa Santana. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband: Jose Luis Ramos.

She is survived by her children: Juan Manuel Ramos, Francisca Ramos, Irma Ramos, Maria Rosa Ramos, Jose Luis Ramos, Lucia Ramos, Pedro Ramos, Baltazar Ramos, Maria del Refugio Ramos, Jesus Ramos, Maria Florentina Ramos, Maria Leticia Ramos and Claudia Veronica Ramos; 47 grandchildren and 54 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. A Chapel Service will be held at 12:30 pm Friday, September 3, 2021 at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. Interment will follow at La Piedad Cemetery in McAllen. Service arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen.
