Consepcion Gomez

Mission - Consepcion Gomez, 73, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg. She was born on Monday, October 15, 1945. She is the daughter of the late Gustavo and Maria Conception (Gomez) Martinez. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband: Leonardo Gomez.

She is survived by her children: Gustavo Gomez, Adriana Gomez and Sandra Gomez; one brother: Gustavo Rivera; three sisters: Martha Villarreal, Rosario Salinas and Eglantina Silva; eight grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. Cremation will follow. Services have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen.

Dear God, life is a journey, You give us moments that are overwhelmingly sweet, and You bring heavy moments that take our breathe away under the weight of its sorrow. Life is not traveled on a straight line. Yes... we have faced moments we do not understand, we don't want and don't approve of...but we know who You are, for You and only You are God.
We stand in Awe of You today, with tears of pain and a broken heart, we applaud You for You created our mother, her spirit, her soul, to live precisely in the time she lived, You decided her to live where she did, be the sister to whom she was and the daughter of whom You chose, as well as the mother of three precise living souls that you created to make an unerassable mark on those that were blood of their own blood. You decided to allow Mom to impact the lives of those you chose to live with her and around her, for according to your Word it is written: "FOR IN HIM WE LIVE AND MOVE AND HAVE OUR BEING". You planned for her to love, laugh and cry with all of us and yes God... she did leave a great mark of tremendous unforgettable love and forgiveness, did she not? A great example of living with passion for those she cared for and loved including her pets. Doing all that was necessary for the sake of love. My siblings and I stand here today and marvel at the beautiful display of our mother's love filled life. We can say we have found beauty in pain and death. Well done God...Well done.

Querido Dios, entendemos que la vida es una jornada, Tu regalas momentos que nos invaden de dulzura incontenible, y momentos que nos quitan el aliento bajo la pesadez de su aflicción. La vida no se viaja en una linea directa. Si... hemos enfrentado momentos que no entendemos, que no queremos y no aprobamos... Pero te conocemos, pues Tu y solo Tu eres Dios.
Nos encontramos de pie y en asombro delante de Ti hoy, maravillados, con lagrimas de dolor incontenibles y un corazón roto, te aplaudimos pues Tu creaste a nuestra mama, su espíritu, su alma, para vivir precisamente en el tiempo en el que vivió, Tu decidiste que viviera en los lugares que vivió, ser la hermana a sus hermanos y la hija a quien tu escogiste, así también como ser la madre de tres personas que marcarían la vida de aquellos que fueran la sangre de su sangre. Tu planeaste que mama impactara la vida de aquellos con los que vivió e interactuo a diario, pues de acuerdo con tu palabra esta escrito: "Porque en El vivimos, y nos movemos y somos". Tu planeaste que ella amara, riera y llorara con todos nosotros y si Dios... dejo una tremenda marca inolvidable de amor y perdón. Un gran ejemplo de vivir con passion por sus seres queridos aun incluyendo a sus animalitos. Haciendo todo lo necesario por amor. Mis hermanos y yo nos encontramos aquí hoy delante de ti maravillados ante la hermosa exposición de la vida llena de amor de mama. Podemos decir que juntos hemos encontrado belleza en la muerte. Bien hecho Dios... bien hecho.
