Mr. Daniel Alanis-Almaguer,75, entered eternal rest October 5, 2020 at the McAllen Medical Center. Daniel was born June 19, 1945 in Mexico to Sebastian and Maria Santos (Almaguer) Alanis. Daniel lived in Hidalgo for the past 15 years. He enjoyed family gatherings. He had many interests and hobbies. One of his favorites food items was peanuts and coke a cola drink. Daniel would place the peanuts inside the soft drink and enjoy. Daniel Alanis-Almaguer truly lived life to its fullest.
Daniel is survived by his wife- Rosa Maria Pequeno de Alanis; His children- Alma Alicia Alanis Pequeno, Norma Edith Alanis Pequeno, Jose Daniel Alanis Pequeno, Alejandro Alanis Pequeno; Four brothers, one Sister, 10 grandchildren.
A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday, October 08, 2020 at Rivera Funeral Home,1901 Pecan Blvd in McAllen from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Viewing will continue Friday, October 09, 2020 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm noon. Funeral and burial will be at 1:00 pm at La Piedad Cemetery in McAllen.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and keeping with social distancing orders, all necessary restrictions will be observed in order to protect the health and safety of those in attendance. Wear face coverings while inside building. Continue to practice social distancing while inside the funeral home chapel. We continue to ask that those at risk or those not feeling well stay home and reach out to the family through our obituary page.
