Daniel Rocha Sr., affectionately known as "Big Dan," passed away peacefully on April 19, 2023, in McAllen, Texas. Born on August 30, 1956, in Corpus Christi, Big Dan lived a life filled with courage, laughter, and adventure.
Big Dan is survived by his loving family, including his children, Daniel Rocha Jr. and Cristina Rocha; his cherished grandchildren, Breanna Rocha, Daniel Rocha III, Sebastian Rocha, and Christopher Flores; his devoted mother, Angelita Rocha; and his supportive siblings, Esmeralda Rocha, Mary Lou Rocha, Nelda Flores, and David Rocha. He also leaves behind numerous adoring nephews and nieces.Preceded in death by his father, Tomas Rocha, and his beloved wife Anna Bella Rocha.
A hardworking man, Big Dan spent much of his young life as a dedicated field worker. Despite the challenges he faced in life, he never wavered from his faith in God.One of the most distinguishing traits of Big Dan was his outgoing personality. He had a unique ability to light up any room he entered. He was always the life of the party and made friends wherever he went.
Big Dan was a passionate fan of Tejano music, often attending concerts and events to celebrate this vibrant cultural expression. Courageous, funny, and adventurous – these are just a few words that best describe Big Dan. He was never one to shy away from a challenge, and his fearlessness inspired those around him to embrace life with open arms. His sense of humor was legendary, and he had a knack for making people laugh even in the most difficult of times.Big Dan's adventurous spirit led him to explore new experiences throughout his life. He will be remembered forever in the hearts of those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
As we say our final goodbyes to Big Dan, we are reminded of the impact he had on so many lives. His memory will live on through the countless stories and laughter shared by those who knew him best. Though he may no longer be with us physically, his spirit will forever be a guiding light for his family and friends.

Viewing will be Saturday, April 22, 2023 at Rivera Funeral Home,1901 Pecan Blvd in McAllen from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Rosary being prayed at 7:00 pm.
