Mrs. Domitila G. Aleman, 89, entered into eternal rest February 4, 2020 at the McAllen Medical Center in McAllen. Domitila was born July 30, 1930 in Reynosa, Mexico to Bruno and Andrea Guerrero. Domitila was a resident of McAllen since 1972. She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in McAllen for many years. She was attending San Juan Diego Catholic Church when it first opened its doors. Domitila was very active in the church. She was a member of the church choir among other things. She loved to play Bingo and card games. She was also a very good cook, making the best tamales. She was a fan of the Atlanta Braves baseball team and she enjoyed watching Julio Cesar Chavez, Sr. boxing in the ring. Domitila truly lived life to its fullest. She will forever be remembered by her family and those that came to know her. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister-Vicenta Gutierrez.
Left to cherish her memory and life is her husband: Mr. Jose C. Aleman; her loving children: Olga Aleman, Carlos Aleman, Julio C. Aleman, and Javier Aleman; grandchildren: Connie, Meagan, Karla, Andrea, Miranda, and Angel J.; great-grandchildren: Victoria, Grace, Jonathan, Carter and Sebastian.
A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday, February 6, 2020 at Rivera Funeral Home, 1901 Pecan Blvd. from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm with the recital of the Holy Rosary to begin at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be Friday, February 7, 2020 at 10:00 am at San Juan Diego Catholic Church in McAllen. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Rivera Funeral Home in McAllen.
