Dr. Carlos Jaime Villarreal Sosa, 58, went with the Lord on April 3, 2022. Dr. Villarreal was born on October 20, 1963 in Matamoros, Tamaulipas and lived in Pharr, Texas.
After receiving his dental degree in Monterrey, Mexico, Dr. Villarreal received his oral surgery training in Puerto Rico and Houston, Texas. He moved to the Rio Grande Valley in 1997 and started Reconstructive Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Edinburg.
Dr. Villarreal is survived by his wife, Lizbeth Riquelme Villarreal, his five children, Brianna, Jose Ramon, Tania, Mauricio and Mario. He is also survived by his mother, Francisca Villarreal Sosa and three sisters, Norma, Elsa, and Alma Villarreal, his nieces Dorothy and Astrid and four nephews, Artemio, Apolonio, Miguel and Polo.
Dr. Villarreal will reunite with his father, Don Apolonio Villarreal and his brother Apolonio Villarreal as he goes with the Lord.
Dr. Villarreal will be remembered by family and friends as a loving husband, father, son, brother and uncle. He will be remembered by his colleagues as a distinguished oral surgeon who was always made himself available to them and the patients he cared for.
Viewing will be held at Rivera Funeral Home in McAllen, TX on Wednesday, April 6,2022 from 4-7 pm, with a rosary to follow at 7 pm. Funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at 1:30 pm.
