Dr. Jose Lima Rizado Obituary

In Loving Memory of Dr. Jose Ramon Lima Rizado

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dr. Jose Ramon Lima Rizado, who left us on March 4th, 2025 at the age of 67. He was not only a devoted father & grandfather, but also a best friend, confidant, and constant source of love and strength to all who knew him.

Born in Torreón, Coahuila on December 31, 1957, Dr. Jose Ramon Lima lived a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering dedication to his family and friends. He was the type of man who would go above and beyond for anyone in need, always putting the needs of others before his own. He was passionate about medicine, science, nature, music, and was a sponge of knowledge. His intelligence was remarkable, and he had an incredible ability to solve problems with a calm, thoughtful approach. Whether it was offering insightful advice or simply engaging in a conversation about any topic, knowledge was endless, and his wit was sharp. His clever jokes and playful nature brightened every room, leaving those around him both laughing and in awe of  his quick mind. He made a lasting impact in his career from over 3,000 babies delivered to all the lives he saved. His legacy spans farther than we know.

To his family, he was everything. His bond with his children & grandchildren was unmatched, and his role as a father was one he cherished deeply. He was the definition of a family man and wanted to always be surrounded by his children & grandchildren who were his life's purpose. he was our pilar of strength. He was the best friend you could call at any time, day or night , the advice-giver, and the one who could always make you feel at ease or laugh no matter the situation. To me, he was not only a father  but my best friend, someone I could talk to about anything and who always understood me in a way no one else has or could. The connection we shared is irreplaceable, and I will carry his memory with me forever.

He leave behind a legacy of love, laughter, and a reminder to live life fully and never give  up fighting for what you believe in. He was predeceased  by his father Jose Ramon Lima Rosales and his mother Alicia Rizado Gutierrez (who passed away two months before him),  and is survived by his wife, Irma Minerva "Monica" Lima, his daughter, Gina  Ruby Lima, his sons George Arthur Lima and Charles Daniel Howerton, and his grandchildren Dax Arthur Roach, Drexel Wyatt Lima, Xena Belinda Howerton, Aurora Kai Muñoz, Dorian Archer Lima, Weston Luis Cuellar, and Kingsley Phoenix Cuellar who adore and will miss him deeply.

A celebration of his life will be held at the Rivera Funeral Home 1901 Pecan Blvd, McAllen, Tx 78504 on Saturday, March 29, 2025  from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.  Dr. Reverend Wally Morrillo leading the prayer service at  3:00 pm to 4:00 pm and live Christian music by Jose Luis Cuellar.

Though we are heartbroken, we take comfort in knowing that his love and spirit   will live on in all who were fortunate enough to know him. Rest in peace, Daddy, papito hermoso, precioso. You are and will always be my first love, our hero, and now our guardian angel.
