In Loving Memory of Elda Rodriguez (January 13, 1940 - August 12, 2023)

Elda Rodriguez, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, peacefully passed away on August 12, 2023, at the age of 83. She was born on January 13, 1940, to a life filled with love, purpose, and devotion.

Elda was a woman of great strength and wisdom, who touched the lives of everyone she encountered. Her compassion and selflessness knew no bounds, as she dedicated her life to helping those in need. Whether it was through her skilled hands creating beautiful pieces through sewing or her kind words and actions, Elda made a significant impact on her community.

She was a beacon of faith, her unwavering devotion to her religious beliefs guiding her through life's challenges. Elda's commitment to her faith was mirrored in her role as a mother and grandmother, passing down valuable life lessons and instilling strong values in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Elda's journey was one that brought both joy and sorrow. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jesus Maria Rodriguez, and her beloved son, Ricardo Rodriguez. Their memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved them.

Elda is survived by her cherished children: Mary Cruz, Jesus Carlos Rodriguez, Elda Rodriguez, and Hector Rodriguez. Her legacy continues through her 8 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren, who will carry forward the lessons of love, kindness, and faith that she imparted.

As we bid farewell to Elda Rodriguez, we remember her as a woman who sewed not just fabric but also the threads of love and compassion into the lives of all she touched. Her spirit will live on through the lives she enriched, the lessons she taught, and the love she shared.

A memorial service will be held to celebrate Elda's life from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm with the Rosary to be prayed at 6:00 PM Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. Funeral mass will be held at 1:30 pm Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Mission. Entombment will follow at 2:30 pm Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at Roselawn Cemetery.
