Eleazar Delgado Rodriguez

McAllen ~ Eleazar Delgado Rodriguez, who was born on February 16, 1932, in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico, and passed away on April 3, 2026, in McAllen, Texas, lived a long and meaningful life marked by devotion to his family, quiet strength, and enduring love for those around him.

He passed away at home surrounded by his loving family, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, hard work, and steadfast commitment to the people he cherished most.

Eleazar was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Teofila Rodriguez Isassi; a son: Dagoberto Rodriguez; his parents: Jose Trinidad Rodriguez and Maria del Carmen Delgado; and his siblings: Jesus Rodriguez Delgado, Jesus Rodriguez, Delgago, Maria Elida Rodriguez De Chavez, Eudelia Rodriguez De Solano, Herlinda Rodriguez Delgado, and Eligardo Rodriguez Delgado. Their memories remained close to his heart throughout his life, and he carried their influence with him in the values he lived by each day.

He is survived by his children: Trinidad Rodriguez, Eloy I. Rodriguez, Eleazar Rodriguez, Jr., Juan Jose Rodriguez, Gabriel Rodriguez, Rigoberto Rodriguez, and Saul Rodriguez; siblings: Eloy Rodriguez Delgado and Elva Rodriguez, De Alvarado, along with 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandson, who brought him great joy and pride.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm Tuesday, April 7, 2026 with a Prayer Service at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home, 1901 Pecan Blvd., McAllen. Eleazar’s life will be celebrated at 10:00 am Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at Iglesia Biblica , 306 S. 26th St., McAllen. Interment will follow at La Piedad Cemetery, 1801 Wichita Ave., McAllen. Services have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen.
