Elvira Barrera

Donna ~ Elvira Barrera, 97, entered into eternal rest on Friday, January 23, 2026 in McAllen surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Wednesday, September 26, 1928, the daughter of the late Guadalupe Barrera and the late San Juana Zuniga. 

Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm Saturday, January 24, 2026 and from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm Sunday, January 25, 2026 at Rivera Funeral Home, 1901 Pecan Blvd., McAllen with the recital of the Holy Rosary will be at 6:00 pm on Sunday. Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, January 26, 2026 at Rivera Funeral Home, McAllen. Interment will follow at 11:00 am at San Juan Cemetery.
