Emilio Vargas

Emilio Vargas, 82, went to be with The Lord on Thursday, February 1, 2024 in McAllen, Texas.  He is was born on October 28, 1941 to the late Feliciano and Dolores Vargas. Emilio is preceded in death by his loving wife: Maria Isabel Vargas; brother: Guillermo Vargas and sister: Beatriz Reyna

He is survived by his children: Juan Antonio Vargas, Emilio Vargas Jr (Beckie) Felix Javier Vargas, Ricardo Elpidio Vargas; as well as 9 Grandchildren and 8 Great-Grandchildren.

Emilio was a great man to know and to love, he was the most wonderful grandfather that loved and cherished his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be missed dearly by all those who loved him.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Holy Rosary being recited at 6:30 pm at Rivera Funeral Home in McAllen. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in McAllen. Interment will follow to La Piedad Cemetery in McAllen. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen.
