Edinburg ~ Eric Scott Fagan was born on March 19, 1985 in McAllen, Texas. He was the second of three boys to Patrick Michael and Flora Fagan. He grew up in Mission, Texas and graduated from Mission High School in 2003. Eric played football as a defensive end for DePauw University in Indiana and joined Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. After graduation, Eric commissioned in the United States Marine Corps on May 10, 2008 at the rank of Second Lieutenant. He served and protected his country overseas in multiple deployments. Eric was promoted to First Lieutenant on May 23, 2010 and later to Captain on June 1, 2012. After his service, Eric continued his education and graduated from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley with a Masters of Arts in Communication. He continued his passion of serving and helping people when he established his company iLead. After he committed his life to Jesus, Eric continued serving his country by ministering to the veteran community where he impacted many lives.
On October 25, 2023 Eric passed away at the age of 38. He is preceded in death by his father, Patrick Michael Fagan and survived by his wife, Jeannie Marie (Rodriguez) Fagan; his children, Nataly Nicole and Donavin Texas Fagan; siblings Patrick (Kimberly) Fagan II, Dexter Fagan, Richard Fagan, Patricia (Fagan) Alcala; Candace Rodriguez, Randy (Flor) Cruz, nieces / nephews Benjamin, Samaria, Dercell, Dominic, Nicholas, Brandon, Tristian, Joshua, Jonathan, Christian, Paul, Kayla, Aiden, Andrew, Adrian, and Ella.

Burial Services will be held Friday November 3, 2023 at 2 PM at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery, 2520 Inspiration Rd., Mission, Texas 78572. Service arrangements haave been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen.
