Ernestina Gutierrez Ponce

Mission ~ Ernestina Gutierrez Ponce, 83, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at Mission Valley Nursing and Transitional Care. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Francisco Ponce. She was born on Friday, July 18, 1941 in Mexico, the daughter of Inosencio Gutierrez and Maurisia Alonzo. 

She is preceded in death by a son: Jose Luis Ponce; siblings: Ermelinda Cantu, Elida Cord, Ema Gonzalez and Guadalupe Gutierrez

She is survived by her children: Juan Peña Gutierrez, Maria Martina Duran, America Ponce; brother: Humberto Gutierrez; 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
 
Visitation will be held from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at Rivera Funeral Home, 1901 Pecan Blvd., McAllen. Interment will follow at 2:00 pm at La Piedad Cemetery, 1801 Wichita Ave., McAllen.

Service arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen.
