McAllen ~ Esper Chapa, 73, entered eternal rest on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Amara Hospice in Edinburg. Esper was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, friend, neighbor, and co-worker. She was a great and friendly person to everyone she met. She was very strong willed in life and spirit, who loved to read the Holy Bible. Esper was a very hard worker, enjoyed caring for her plants, eating, cooking, and playing games with family and friends. She loved spending quality time with all her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her husband: Enrique Chapa Jr.; five children: Patricia A. Chapa, Susana A. Galvan, Johnny L. Chapa, Bonnie G. Cantu and April C. Sanchez; 14 grandchildren: Anisha K. Chapa, Audry L. Galvan, Cassandra M. Galvan, Beatrice N. Galvan, Logan P. Chapa, Austin M. Chapa, Daryn E. Chapa, Cristian A. Cantu, Julian A. Cantu, Justin S. Cantu, Alyssa F. Moreno, Ashlyn M. Sanchez, Jordan M. Sanchez and Justin N. Sanchez; sisters: Emily Fuentes, Angie Lots, Lupe Mendez, Virginia Bruno, Maria Perez, Loly Bruno, Delia Blanco deceased, Teresa Bruno, Rosa Luna, Gloria Bruno deceased, Patsy Adame and Irene Rodriguez; brothers: Santiago Bruno Jr., Johnny Bruno deceased, Alejandro Bruno deceased and Jimmy Bruno Jr.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm Tuesday, September 7, 2021 with a Prayer Service at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. A Chapel Service will be held at 9:30 am on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. Interment will follow at 11:00 am at Rio Grande Valley State Veteran's Cemetery in Mission. Service arrangements have been ent5rusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen.
