Esperanza Rivera

Alamo ~ Esperanza Rivera, 74, entered eternal rest on Sunday, August 7, 2022 surrounded by her children at Doctor's Hospital at Renaissance of Edinburg. She was born in Rodriguez, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, the daughter of Felipe Guajardo and Margarita Rivera.  She was a wonderful person, a familiar face in the Con community. Esperanza was always at shows being a great supporter of her children. She was a big fan of wrestling and attended countless local shows where she was also well known and loved. She touched the heart's of all who met her and her presence always brought joy to peoples faces. She was a parent volunteer at Ben Franklin and Farias Elementary when her children attended school there. Esperanza was also part of the Guadalupanas at the Resurrection Catholic Church. She loved to help and assist in events and was always willing to help someone in need. She will always be in our hearts and remembered by those who knew her. 

She is survived by her children: Margarita Rivera, Manuel Rivera and Maria Rivera; her grandchildren: Alex, Serena and Emma; and sister: Alicia Gaona; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen.
