Mission ~ Esther Luna Rocha passed away from this earthly life to enter into eternal life where she returned to her Father God on August 29th, 2021 at the age of 65. She was born on January 23, 1956 to Ruben and Mariana Luna. She grew up with her parents and 9 siblings. She was preceded in death by her father, Ruben Luna.
She is survived by her husband Javier and her children Aisa, Isaac and his wife Carmen, and Andrea. She was married to Javi for 36 years. She is also survived by her mother, Mariana Luna and her siblings: Ruben, Robert, Mary, Raul, Terri, Irene, Anna, David, & Rosie, her nieces and her nephews.
The two most important things in Esther's life were her faith and her family, both which she loved immensely. Esther was raised Catholic, and in turn, she and Javi also raised their family in the Catholic faith. They made sure their children served at church alongside them as they grew up. She had special devotions to God through Mother Mary and the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Throughout her life, she served the Catholic church at masses, conferences, retreats and different events by using her gift as a musician and her numerous other talents with which God blessed her. She delighted sharing her love of music with her students, friends, family, and community. She loved to serve God's people and show them His wondrous love for them.
Esther was a retired band director. She taught for more than 33 years. She had a passion for music which she thoroughly enjoyed sharing with her students. She was a dedicated educator of music, and she loved her students. She would speak about them with such care as if they were her own children. Esther had such a hospitable spirit and welcomed people into her home to join together for meals or celebrations. She loved to host parties for her family, her children, and loved ones, and she had an amazing talent for planning and decorating. She could bring together a party so well and create a beautiful environment.
The outpouring of love and generosity from friends and family is a testament to the life Esther lived and how she strived to love as Jesus does. Her legacy survives in each of us that she impacted with her smile, joy, love, and faith.
