McAllen ~ Felipe Herrera Palomo, 78, entered eternal rest on Friday, November 6, 2020 at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen. He was born on Monday, April 27, 1942 in Saltillo, Mexico, the son of Felipe and Paula (Palomo) Herrera. He was raised in McAllen where he lived most of his life. He was a Pastor, Boxer and Carpenter.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife: Seomara Herrera in 2009 and his siblings.
He is survived by his children: Israel Guadalupe Herrera, Ismael Herrera, Siomara Herrera, Eleazar Herrera, Ultimino Herrera, Zaeth Herrera and Noe Herrera; 28 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm Thursday, November 12, 2020 with a Prayer Service at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. Funeral service will be held Friday, November 13, 2020 at Iglesia Tierra Prometida in McAllen. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission. Service arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and keeping with social distancing orders, all necessary restrictions will be observed in order to protect the health and safety of those in attendance. Wear face coverings while inside building. Continue to practice social distancing while inside the funeral home chapel. We continue to ask that those at risk or those not feeling well stay home and reach out to the family through our obituary page.
