Felix Ramirez Cavazos

Felix Ramirez Cavazos, who was born on August 29, 1948, in Mexico and passed away on August 6, 2026, in McAllen, Texas at the age of 77. He lived a life marked by devotion to his family, faith, and the many people who were blessed to know him.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Rosana De Hoyas Garza, and by his children, Rosana Ramirez de Hoyos, Marcela Ramirez de Hoyos, and Felix Ramirez de Hoyos. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Jose Angel Cantú Ramirez, Elena Maria Ramirez Garcia, Ramon Alejandro Torres Ramirez, Rosana Cantú Ramirez, Andrés Torres Ramirez, and Eugenia Ramirez Garcia. His memory will also be treasured by his siblings, Palmira Ramirez Cavazos, Juliana Ramirez Cavazos, Arla Ramirez Cavazos, Javier Ramirez Cavazos, Gerino Ramirez Cavazos, Angelina Ramirez Cavazos, Jose Luis Ramirez Cavazos, and Miguel Ramirez Cavazos.

Felix was preceded in death by his parents, Fausto Ramirez Ramirez and Maria De Los Angels Cavazos Hinojosa. He carried their legacy with him throughout his life and honored their memory through the way he cared for those around him. He was a man who valued family above all else, and he found great joy in the bonds he shared with his loved ones across generations.

Those who knew Felix will remember him for his warm presence, his steady spirit, and the quiet strength he brought to his family. He was a source of comfort and support, and his life reflected the importance of love, loyalty, and perseverance. His family will forever hold close the many memories of his kindness, his guidance, and the example he set through his actions.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Rivera Funeral Home, 1901 Pecan Blvd., McAllen, with the recital of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of Felix and to honor a life well lived.

Felix Ramirez Cavazos will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy lives on in the hearts of his wife, children, grandchildren, siblings, and extended family, who will continue to carry forward the love and values he shared so generously throughout his life.
