Fernando Garcia

Fernando Garcia, 68, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, August 27, 2026 in McAllen. He was born on Thursday, October 31, 1957 in McAllen, Texas. 

He was a devoted father, cherished grandfather, and a friend to many. His kindness, strength, wisdom, and generous heart touched the lives of everyone who knew him. His guidance and unconditional love will remain with us and continue to inspire us throughout our lives.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Pablo and Isabel Ruiz, his mother: Idolina Ruiz, his son: Jesse Garcia and his wife: Ana Maria Garcia. 

He is survived by his daughters: Elvia Rodriguez (Lupe Rodriguez and Vanessa Garcia (Florentino Gomez, Jr); and 11 grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Saturday, September 5, 2026 with the Holy Rosary being recited at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home, 1813 N. Conway Ave., Mission. 

Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we are grateful for the years, memories, and love we were blessed to share with him. His memory will live on in our hearts forever.

Rest peacefully, Dad. You will be deeply loved, greatly missed, and never forgotten.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of Mission.
