Flor Estela Ocañas Rios

Flor Estela Ocañas Rios, 67, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at Doctor's Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg. She was born on Wednesday, November 13, 1957 in General Teran, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, the daughter of Federico Ocañas Perez and Maria Socorro Rios Villarreal.

Flor is survived by her loving children: Socorro Reyes, Ricardo Morales, Cruz Estela Cavazos, Kathy Cavazos, Daniel Morales and Mario Gomez; her siblings: Alma Ocañas, Maria A. Ocañas, Ramona Ocañas, Norma Ocañas, Enrique Ocañas, Guadalupe Ocañas, Ramiro Ocañas, Arturo Ocañas, Alejandro Ocañas, Tomasa Ocañas, and Andrea Ocañas; 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Monday, July 14, 2025 with the Holy Rosary being recited at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home, 1901 Pecan Blvd., McAllen. Chapel service will be held at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. Interment will follow at 1:00 pm  at Valley Memorial Gardens, 3605 N. Taylor Rd., Mission.
