Francisco Rivera Castillo

Mission ~ Francisco Rivera Castillo, 89, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Mission Regional Medical Center. He was born on Monday, February 3, 1936, in Torreón, Coahuila, Mexico, the son of the late Francisco Rivera and Julia Rivera de Castillo.

Francisco is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Maria del Leonor Rivera Melgoza, and his son, Carlos Rivera.

He is survived by his sister, Linda Rivera; and his children: Jesus Garcia, Jorge Garcia, Jose Melgoza, Sylvia Reyna, Francisco Rivera, Nicolas Rivera, Maria G. Hernandez, Leticia Rivera, Magdalena Rivera, and Martha M. Rivera; as well as 39 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, with a Prayer Service at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home, LLC, 1813 N. Conway Ave., Mission. Chapel Service will be held at 12:00 pm on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at Rivera Funeral Home, LLC in Mission. Interment will follow at 1:00 pm to San Jose Cemetery, 1179 S. Stewart Rd., Mission.
