McAllen ~ Francisco Javier Solis Lopez, known to all as Javi, has left us with heavy heart, but memories so savvy. Born on the eighteenth of August, in the year '52, in Los Altos Tamaulipas, where his love for life grew.
A loving husband to Armandina, father to Ivis, Jaziel, and Jesus, grandfather to Andre, Emir, Athena, Carolina, and Valentina. Javi's love for his family was endless, reliable, optimistic, loving, wise, Javi showed them how to care.
He studied Telecommunications, a field that he adored, for thirty-one years at Telmex, his dedication soared. Retired but not tired, his spirit remained strong, involved in associations, he knew where he belonged.
On the softball field, Javi's energy was contagious, in volleyball too, his enthusiasm was outrageous. A lover of dancing, with rhythm in his soul, He moved with grace, his steps precise and whole.
He played until he was over 70, better than most half his age. 7 was his number every time he played, his jersey will be retired so in heaven he can play.
He asked for his 70th birthday, we all played a softball game. Softball might have been his passion, all the way to his end.
A strum of the guitar, a melody he'd compose, singing and playing, his talent only rose. Karaoke nights, the stage was where he shone, his voice like velvet, a presence all his own.
A life well-lived, Javi's spirit will live on, in the hearts of those he touched, his memory never gone. Though he left us on the eleventh of May, in the year twenty-three, his love and wisdom will forever be with his family..
