Alton - Gabriel Vela, 44, entered eternal rest on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Winkler County Memorial Hospital. He was born on Monday, March 24, 1975 in Districto Federal, Mexico, the son of Jose and Amanda (Lopez) Vela.
He is survived by his wife: Maria Rodriguez of Palmhurst; his parents: Jose Guadalupe Vela of Alton and Amanda Lopez of Alton; brother: Jose Guadalupe Vela, Jr. of Alton; sister: Maria Amanda Barrios of Alton; brother-in-law: Bernardo Barrios of Alton and niece: Amanda Barrios of Alton.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 with a Holy Rosary being recited at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home L.L.C. of Mission. A Celebration of Life Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at San Martin De Porres Catholic Church in Alton.
