Genaro Ortiz

McAllen ~ Genaro Ortiz, 95, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at Windsor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in McAllen, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on Friday, September 19, 1930, in Brookfield, Michigan, the son of Jesus Ortiz and Rose (Novarak) Ortiz. He was preceded in death by his parents. 

Genaro is survived by his beloved children: Hiram Ortiz, Genaro Ortiz, and Ruth Ortiz, who will forever cherish his memory.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Sunday, November 2, 2025, with a Prayer Service being held at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home, 1901 Pecan Blvd., McAllen. Chapel Service will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, November 3, 2025, at Rivera Funeral Home in McAllen. Interment will follow to Valley Memorial Gardens, 3605 N. Taylor Rd., Mission.
