Gertrudes V. Lopez

Alton ~ Mrs. Gertrudes V. Lopez, 97, passed away on Saturday November 19, 2022 at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen. She was born on Tuesday December 16, 1924 in Yorktown, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose T. Lopez and and two daughters, Grace Peterson and Norma A. Molina.

She is survived by her children: Roberto (Antonia) Lopez of McAllen, Ruben (Lupita) Lopez of Mission, Raul (Maggie) Lopez of McAllen, Ricardo (Maria) Lopez of McAllen, Hermelinda Cantu of Alton, Zulema Martinez of McAllen, Maria Elena (Jesus) Rodriguez of Weslaco and Leticia (Rodrigo) Garza of San Antonio; numerous granschildren and great-grandchildren.   

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 with a service at 6:30 pm at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 and Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery in McAllen.

Pallbearers will be members of her Loving family.
