Mr. Guadalupe Luna,84, entered eternal rest April 14, 2021 at the Village Care Nursing and Rehab Center of McAllen. Guadalupe was born April 30, 1936 in Edcouch, Texas to Anastacio and Consuelo (Delgado) Luna. Mr Luna had lived in Mission for most of his life. He enjoyed music, playing his accordion, gardening, and family gatherings,especially on Sunday's. Guadalupe truly enjoyed life to its fullest.
He was preceded in death by his parents; His three sisters.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved family- His wife of 63 years Epifania P. Luna; His children- Guadalupe (Visanta) Luna of McAllen, Benito (Graciela) Luna of McAllen, Eduardo (Estella) Luna of McAllen, Enoelia (Jorge) Garza of Rio Grande City, Esther (Aurelio) Garcia of Palmview, Lorena Luna of Mission, Livier (Noe) Garcia of Mission; His brother Narciso Luna of Mission; 18 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and keeping with social distancing orders, all necessary restrictions will be observed in order to protect the health and safety of those in attendance. Wear face coverings while inside building. Continue to practice social distancing while inside the funeral home chapel. We continue to ask that those at risk or those not feeling well stay home and reach out to the family through our obituary page.
A gathering of family and friends will be Monday, April 19, 2021 at Rivera Funeral Home,1901 Pecan Blvd in McAllen from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM with the recital of the Holy Rosary to begin at 7:00 PM. Funeral mass will be Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St.Joseph the Worker Church of McAllen. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens cemetery in Mission.
