Mr. Guadalupe (Rey) Navarro, age 80, of McAllen, Texas, entered eternal rest on Saturday, June 13, 2026.
Born on January 6, 1946, in McAllen, Texas, Guadalupe was the son of Leandro Navarro and Perfecta Sotelo Navarro. He spent his life devoted to his family and was known for his kindness, strength, and unwavering dedication to those he loved. Following a career in Auto Body Repair, he enjoyed a well-earned retirement while remaining a source of wisdom and support for his family.
A man of the Catholic faith, Guadalupe’s life was marked by his love for family, his hardworking spirit, and the many friendships he cultivated throughout the years. His presence brought comfort and guidance to those around him, and his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Delia Salinas Navarro.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving daughter, Thelma (Bobby) Leal; his siblings, Leandro, Jr., Concha, Yolanda, Alicia, Joe, Susana, Daniel, and Carlos Navarro; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Visitation will be held Friday, June19, 2026 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, with a Holy Rosary being recited at 11:00 am at Rivera Funeral Home in McAllen. Funeral Mass will follow at 1:00 pm to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in McAllen. Cremation will follow under the direction of Rivera Funeral Home.
