It is with great sadness, we announce the passing of Guadalupe “Wally” Coronado Jr., who left us unexpectedly on Friday, November 28th at the age of 61.
Wally was born June 13, 1964, to Guadalupe “Lupe” Coronado Sr.(†) and Edelmira “Mira” Coronado Morales(†). He was a son, brother, uncle, great-uncle, cousin, godfather, friend and best friend to many. Wally had a huge heart and was always willing and ready to offer a helping hand. He was a 1982 graduate of Mission High School, hard-core Dallas Cowboys and Chicago Cubbies fan.
Wally was a “Good Ol’ Boy,” a term of endearment placed on him and several other friends who enjoyed hanging out listening to the real country music of the past. He loved riding his Harley, fishing, hunting; was looking forward to getting back to “living” as he would call it, and planned on spending more time with his godsons, nieces, nephews, friends and family again after battling health and life issues. He will be missed tremendously.
He is survived by his sisters: Deborah “Debi” Coronado, Rita Cordova Coronado (Roli); brothers: Gustavo “Gus” Coronado (Elena), Jesus Jaime Coronado (Heather); nephews: Jesus J. Coronado, Aaron Xavier Perez, Alex Coronado (Stephanie), Austin Coronado (Kiera), Xander Lupe Coronado, Riley Cordova (godson) and Romeo Cordova (godson); nieces: Giovanna Coronado, Monserrat “Monse” Hernandez, Caitlyn Wright; great nieces Aria and Londynn Potts and Isabella Coronado.
