Hermila Ordaz Obituary

Hermila "Mila" Ordaz, a beacon of love and generosity, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2023, at the age of 80, in Mission, Texas. Born on August 30, 1943, in Reynosa, Mexico, Mila was a cherished figure whose selfless spirit touched everyone she met.

Mila's life was a testament to the power of unwavering kindness and dedication to family. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Juan Daniel Ordaz. Together, they built a legacy of love that continued to flourish through their children, Maria de Jesus, Sandra, Daniel, Joel, and Eva Delia. Mila's joy multiplied with the arrival of each of her 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, whose lives she enriched with her warmth and wisdom.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Wednesday, December 6, 2023. During this time, family and friends are invited to gather and share memories of a life well-lived. The recital of the Holy Rosary in Mila's honor will take place at 7:00 pm, providing a moment of reflection and prayer.

On Thursday, December 7, 2023, a Mass celebrating Mila's life will be held at 1:00 pm at St. Joseph the Worker in McAllen, TX. The service will be a final farewell to a woman whose presence was a gift to all. Following the Mass, interment will take place at 1:30 pm at La Piedad Cemetery, where Mila will be laid to rest.

Those who knew Mila will remember her as the embodiment of loving kindness. Her generosity knew no bounds, and her selflessness was the cornerstone of her character. Mila's legacy will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to have been touched by her gentle soul.

As we bid farewell to Hermila "Mila" Ordaz, we celebrate a life that was truly a blessing to us all. Her memory will continue to inspire and guide us, just as her love always did.
