“Some souls leave a trail of light behind them that will never be forgotten.”
“Veve,” as her family affectionately called her, joined her parents, Thomas (deceased 11/31/99) and Juanita (deceased 07/28/19) Pesina in heaven on July 27, 2020 after a long hospitalization.
Ida loved God all her life and served in church playing the tambourine. She had an endless love for her family; great sense of humor; loved gardening; a great cook who loved to cook for others; loved a clean, dust-free home; rearranged her house furniture once a week; loved 70’s music; loved road trips by car or bus; loved eating out for breakfast; was extremely generous and would think of others before thinking of herself. Ida was a great bargain hunter who loved flea markets, estate, and garage sales. She worked for many years in a nursing home and enjoyed caring for the sick including her elderly mom near the end of her life. She loved to be silly with her boys, was very witty and quick with the comebacks; enjoyed board games; and was tender hearted towards the unfortunate.
Ida is survived by her husband of 39 years, Francisco (Pancho) Gonzalez and her four sons, Francisco (Frank) Gonzalez, Jr.; future daughter-in-law, Mariecruz Acosta; and only granddaughter June Gonzalez; Jaime Gonzalez; Juan Carlos Gonzalez; and Javier Gonzalez all of McAllen, TX and five siblings … Juan G. Garcia (Guadalajara, Mexico); Lucy Wallace and her husband, Don (Rockwall, TX); Alma O. Garcia (Playas de Coco, Costa Rica); Martha I. Herrera and her husband, Steven (Mesquite, TX); Antonio (Tony) Garcia (Royse City, TX) and numerous nieces and nephews.
“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” ― Romans 8: 38-39
