Irene Riojas

McAllen ~ Irene Riojas, 87, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at South Texas Health System McAllen. She was born on Thursday, June 17, 1937 in McAllen, Texas, the daughter of Pedro Espinoza and Senovia Luna.

She is survived by her children: Javier Riojas, Jaime Riojas, Agustina E. Riojas and Sandra Riojas; brother: Pablo Espinoza; grandchildren: Jennifer Lee Treviño, Katy Perez, Jessia E Riojas, Jesenia M. Riojas, Javier Riojas Jr., James Riojas and Clarissa Riojas.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Thursday, May 22, 2025 with the Holy Rosary being recited at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home, 1901 Pecan Blvd., McAllen. Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, May 23, 2025 at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 900 S. 23rd St., McAllen. Interment will follow at La Piedad Cemetery, 1801 Wichita Ave., McAllen.
