Isabel Ramona Mirelez

Isabel Ramona Mirelez, “Mumfie,” 78, entered eternal rest on Friday, June 18, 2021, at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance. Mumfie was born November 19, 1942, in Linn, Texas to Macario (deceased) and Gregoria (deceased) Garcia. She loved watching her novelas and really enjoyed family gatherings, which of course weren’t complete without her favorite music playing. Mumfie cared deeply for her entire family and made sure to check on everyone, daily. Most of all she loved and adored her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren as they were her world. If you were lucky enough to be present when she gazed into their faces, the pure pride and joy radiating from her would blind you. Mumfie wanted nothing more than for them to have a wonderful life. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. 
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Noelia Mirelez. 
Left to preserve and cherish her memory are her children, Leslie “Reynaldo” Campos, Laura Sue “Javier” Mirelez, Joe Edward “Nellie” Mirelez, Noah Mirelez, Nora A. Martinez, Elisa “Rafael” Camacho, Noah “Andrea” Sanchez, and Ana Marie “James” Tamez. Her grandchildren, Tracy Gonzalez, Debra Lee Gonzalez, Javier Gonzalez Jr., Lori Ann Gonzalez, Janell Moore, Joe Edward Mirelez Jr., Jacquelyn Hernandez, Jasmine Mirelez, Ashley Martinez, Anthony R. Martinez, Adrian Martinez, 2 brothers, 3 sisters, 30 great-grandchildren, 10 fur grand babies, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. 
Family and Friends may pay their respects at Rivera Funeral Home, 1901 Pecan Blvd. in McAllen on Saturday, June 26, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. A celebration of Life service will begin at 11:30 AM. Burial is to immediately follow at Treviño Cemetery in La Reforma.
